DIRTY SECRETZ
With DJ support from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Kim Fai, Andi Durrant, Dave Spoon, Robbie Rivera and many more, Dirty Secretz are no longer the secret they once were. The dynamic duo’s rise has seen release after release hit the front of DJs CD cases, making them essential choice for rocking any dance floor.
Rewind two years and you’ll find two personas polar opposite to each other. Ying and Yang, chalk and cheese. Jay had been making her name in the clubs with her DJs sets whilst Richie had been locked in his studio refining his skills and producing his own tracks, remixes and reedits. A chance encounter at a club they were both booked to play threw them together and their differences soon proved to be a combined force to be reckoned with.
Their first production back in 2008 saw them team up with Welsh rapper JLD for “Dirty Funkin House”, which smashed up sets every time it was dropped. After hearing a sample of their second single, “Drop Tha Beat”, Filthy Rich signed it straight to his label Control Freq and was released with mixes from Rich and James “Prok &” Fitch. Since then the duo have spent their time remixing some of the biggest names in house music including Richard Grey, Prok & Fitch, Robin S, K Klass and Filthy Rich.
Radio and DJ support has come thick and fast with regular plays from Roger Sanchez (Release Yourself), David Guetta (Radio FG), Dave Spoon (Radio 1) and Andi Durrant (Capital FM). Regularly featured on download sites, their tracks have smashed into the download charts on Beatport, DJ Download and Track It Down.
2011 is looking like a big year for them with some massive new releases with Stealth and Pryramidal, several remixes on their way and shows in the UK and Europe. One thing’s for sure, they aren’t a secret anymore!

IN FLAGRANTI
In Flagranti is the duo of Sasha Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor. They both have been in and around various scenes on opposite sides of the globe between New York and Europe. What they share is the simultaneous discovery of the italian cosmic scene from the late 70’s early 80’s. Both were hooked after hearing some of the mixed tapes in the early 80’s, which had this hypnotic blend of electro-disco-afro-rock-funk-dub. in the search of like minded people and the music they loved, Sasha and Alex meet in Basel/Switzerland. It didn’t take long for Sasha to join Alex who moved to new york in the early 80’s, and also make the move to the big apple, in 1993. the musical bond had become so strong that they decide to start their own record label “Codek Records”, which marked its 10th anniversary in 2006.
Since the beginning of Codek Records, Alex and Sasha aim to explore the cosmic background in every possible way by creating and putting together different elements of art/graphic design and styles of music in to a seamless flow, which ultimately leads them to create “In Flagranti”, an act that would reflect all that, and continue to explore the endless possibilities of a ‘cut and paste’ esthetic. Their DIY attitude, which came in many forms like “Organic Grooves” Sasha’s long running weekly party and “SMYLONYLON” tapes, Alex’s and Chris Bricks by now legendary mix tapes, gained them a lot of street credibility in New York and abroad. In addition the CODEK sleeve design is a big part of the whole esthetics, especially some of the early hand silk screened sleeves, which the Wire magazine calls “the best in the business”. In Flagranti pushes the envelope further by adding video clips that accompanies each song which are displayed on their website www.codek.com and shows the visual influence. Woman-Glamour-Trash-Chic is the identity which brings out the new punk attitude.
From the electronic Disco sound of Gorgio Moroder, Patric Cowley to
punkfunk of Liquid Liquid, A Certain Ratio and more contemporary sounds of todays dance music, “Wronger Than Everyone Else” is a erotic funny collage of all the above. Whilst restricted distribution in the past and limited pressings has meant that previous releases have slipped somewhat under the radar, a buzz has been steadily building as many known djs (ivan smagghe, trevor jackson, cloe, steve kotey…) are playing the records and the name appears on many playlists and compilations world wide. Described by xlr8r magazine as “rare grooves from another planet”, the critics have been favorable. Time Out NY voted ‘In Flagranti’ as one of the best in 2005.

THE 2 BEARS
The 2 Bears – aka Raf Rundell and Joe Goddard – first began crossing paths in the DJ booths of London town. Booked separately, they regularly ended up playing back-to-back, coming together through a love and admiration for Detroit techno, Chicago house, hip hop, UK garage and bashment. With a mutual disinclination for dance music elitism, they set about writing and producing two critically acclaimed EPs, honing a unique blend of tough, soulful music, that has a twinkle in its eye and a wiggle in its rear end.

EROL ALKAN
Have you heard the one about Erol Alkan? The humble 12 year old maestro-in-the-making who sneaks out the window of his parents flat to play gigs for a tenner? About the bearded studio-sorcerer worshipped by bands and DJ’s half his age as a living electronic idol? About the kid in his early 20s who’s founded that Trash night in London where they’re playing Bowie and basslines at the same time?
I heard that he invented the mash-up. I heard that he created the second coming of French Touch just by remixing Justice’s “Waters Of Nazareth”. I heard he bought guitar music back from the grave. No, it was electronic music. Or was it reggae? I heard he once revived a Roland 303 just by looking at it. Didn’t you hear? He’s bringing psychedelia back? Wait – I heard he’s bringing Disco back? Didn’t you hear?
That’s the thing about Erol Alkan – hearing is believing. Until you’ve borne witness to one of his legendary live sets, poured headily over one of his meticulously crafted productions, or been catapulted to a sudden sonic nirvana by the dropping of one of his remixes, you might be justified for dismissing his existence as an extremely elaborate myth of the musical underground. After all, how can one man, still in his early thirties, have kept so many kids dancing for so long?
Look no further than the well-worn T-Shirt: L.O.V.E. is the answer. What kept Erol on the cutting edge of the independent and electronic scenes for the decade he ran Trash until its final night in January 2007, and at the forefront of bold new territories in the musical cosmos in the years that have followed, is his unwavering devotion to the music he plays. His studious interests across the sonic spectrum made it inevitable that at some point he would cross the boards and start to create music as well as play it, and in 2001 he took his first steps under the nom-de-guerre Kurtis Rush. His alchemical fusion of George Michael and Missy Elliot resulted in 24 carat party gold, and “Bastard Pop” was born, with Erol as one of it’s founding figureheads alongside Soulwax and Richard X, reaching its apex with Kylie performing Erol’s infamous ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ fusion with New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’ live at the 2002 Brit Awards. The Manchester legends, also one of Alkan’s favourite ever bands, loved it so much they returned the favour, often performing the ‘mash up’ live. Coupled with the electroclash earthquake that was rippling through London (epicentre: Trash, Monday nights), Erol found himself at the forefront of both movements, and with a gamut of notable new admirers and friends.
It wasn’t long before Erol was lending his magic touch to increasingly higher profile releases, with his remixes of Alter Egos’ ‘Rocker’ and Mylo’s ‘Drop The Pressure’ proving unavoidable on the dancefloors of 2004. Remixes for Bloc Party, Death From Above 1979 and The Chemical Brothers ensued, followed by Erol’s first truly legendary contribution to dance music’s canon: The Glam Racket Rework of Franz Ferdinand’s ‘Do You Want To’, which impressed the band so much that they incorporated elements of the remix into their live tour.
Erol’s profile was rapidly ascending, Trash was packed every Monday with a baying crowd of technicolour admirers and celebrity exotica yearning to witness the signature Alkan marriage of the electronic and the independent, but that didn’t curtail his quest for innovation. 2006 would see him take the covers off the mega-yacht he had been secretly building in his studio – his “Balearic Trilogy” of remixes; The Klaxons ‘Golden Skans’, Hot Chip’s ‘Boy From School’ and The Scissor Sisters ‘I Don’t Feel Like Dancing’. Those expecting saturated rock fuzz and thumping electronica were confounded; finding instead a trio of blissed out, spectral and unapologetically ambitious responses to the original material. All three remixes would become dance floor hits, despite the adventurous new sound, and compromise to Erol’s favourite remix work to date.
2006 also saw the beginning of studio collaborations with The Long Blondes, and in the producer’s role for the first time in his life. Asked to work on their debut single for Rough Trade, the session yielded ‘Fulwood Babylon’, a melancholic disco gem that found it’s way to every corner of the interweb. Among it’s many admirers were The Mystery Jets, who approached Erol to collaborate on a few tracks, resulting in a series of B-sides. These first tracks were to be only the very beginning of a long and fruitful recording relationship.
With such a studio intensive 2006, you might be forgiven for thinking that Erol’s live presence had taken a back seat, but you would be very much mistaken. The year saw him support Madonna (at Koko) and Daft Punk (at Global Gathering), and to cap it all off he was voted Mixmag’s prestigious DJ Of The Year award, as well as Best International Dj.
Fast forward to 2008, and the first Alkan studio alumni had released their own sophomore albums, with The Long Blondes critically acclaimed ‘Couples’, and Mystery Jets pop opus ’Twenty One’ featuring the UK hit singles ‘Young Love’ and ‘Two Doors Down’, both produced by Erol. Outside of those two carefully nurtured albums, Erol found time to unite with Franz Ferdinand to produce a cover of LCD Soundsystem’s ‘All My Friends’, record a couple of b-sides with genial art pop mavericks and Mercury Music Prize winners Klaxons, and to harness the mysterious powers of prodigal psych-prog rockers Late Of The Pier in the form of singles ‘Bathroom Gurgle’, ‘Space And The Woods’, The Bears Are Coming’ and ‘Focker’. The full Alkan produced debut album drops in late 2008.
And in truth, that’s only the half of it. For more than two years, on the odd nights of the year that he’s not duty bound to be Erol Alkan, he has been known to don the mantle of ‘Mustapha 3000’ and dabble in the mysterious rites of ‘Beyond The Wizards Sleeve’ – a warped balearic psychedelic brotherhood consisting of Erol and The Grid’s Richard Norris. Part folk astronauts, part electronic necromancers, they have reanimated songs by Midlake, Findlay Brown, Goldfrapp, and Tracey Thorn into beautiful, searing moments of euphoric bliss. Each remix wildly different to the next, The Sleeve (as they are known to their fans) continue, like Erol himself, to be impossible to pin down, having recently completed their first major work, a four part series of EP’s.
Whether he’s playing the latest in hardcore thrash or producing delicate anthems of spectral beauty, one thing’s for sure; music, truly fertile music, is never very far from Erol Alkan, and his sound can surely only continue to grow in the future. Haven’t you heard?

Since june 2011 Victor G joined the formation.
Ian Moström derives from a background as a performing Singer-Songwriter that became a sucker for the Electro scene. Loving bouncy beats, dirty bass-lines, catchy vocals, Grime, Fidget and FAT claps.
Jonathan Lemethy recorded the Megaman songs to a cassette radio when he was a kid, to listen on repeat in headphones. He's played Trombone in big band Jazz, Funk and Classical compositions. But later grew into loving the big room sounds of Trance and Club.
Victor Guixer aka Victor G comes from the most pure house and trance beats. After being an official Gala remixer I&L came in touch with him and it was then decided to add him to the team. He has already caught world wide attention at his age of 17 and we're happy to have him on-board.

LADY GAGA (THE REMIXES)
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 28, 1986), better known by her stage name Lady Gaga, is an American pop singer-songwriter. After enrolling at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2003 and later performing in the rock music scene of New York City's Lower East Side, she signed with Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records. During her early time at Interscope, she worked as a songwriter for fellow label artists and captured the attention of recording artist Akon who, recognizing her vocal abilities, signed her to his own label, Kon Live Distribution.
Gaga came to prominence following the release of her debut studio album The Fame (2008), which was a critical and commercial success and achieved international popularity with the singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". The album reached number one on the record charts of six countries, topped the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart while simultaneously peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and accomplished positions within the top ten worldwide. Achieving similar worldwide success, The Fame Monster (2009), its follow-up, produced a further three global chart-topping singles "Bad Romance", "Telephone" and "Alejandro" and allowed her to embark on her second global concert tour, The Monster Ball Tour, just months after having finished her first, The Fame Ball Tour. Her second studio album Born This Way (2011) topped the charts in all major musical markets after the arrival of its singles "Born This Way", "Judas" and "The Edge of Glory" – the first-mentioned achieved the number-one spot in countries worldwide and was the fastest-selling single in the history of iTunes, selling one million copies in five days.[3]
Inspired by glam rock artists like David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, as well as pop singers such as Madonna and Michael Jackson, Gaga is well-recognized for her outré and ever-changing sense of style in music, in fashion, in performance and in her music videos. Her contributions to the music industry have accrued her numerous achievements including five Grammy Awards, among twelve nominations; two Guinness World Records;[4] and the estimated sale of more than 22 million albums and 69 million singles worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists worldwide.[5] Billboard named her the Artist of the Year in 2010,[6] ranking her as the 73rd Artist of the 2000s decade.[7] Gaga has been included in Time magazine's annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world as well as being listed in a number of Forbes' annual lists.
1986–2004: Early life
Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986, in New York City.[9] The first child of Italian American Joseph Germanotta, an internet entrepreneur, and Cynthia (née Bissett),[10] Gaga has one sister, Natali, who was born in 1992.[11] Gaga is left-handed[12] and began learning to play piano aged four, went on to write her first piano ballad at 13, and began performing at open mike nights by the age of 14.[13] Raised as a Roman Catholic[14] on Manhattan's Upper West Side after the family moved there in 1993,[15] Gaga attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart, a private all-girls Roman Catholic school on Manhattan's Upper East Side, from the age of 11.[16][17] Despite the affluence of the Upper West Side, Gaga stressed that she did not come from a wealthy background, stating that her parents "both came from lower-class families, so we've worked for everything—my mother worked eight to eight out of the house, in telecommunications, and so did my father."[18] She described her academic life in high school as "very dedicated, very studious, very disciplined" but also "a bit insecure" as she told in an interview, "I used to get made fun of for being either too provocative or too eccentric, so I started to tone it down. I didn't fit in, and I felt like a freak."[19][20] Acquaintances dispute that she did not fit in at school. "She had a core group of friends; she was a good student. She liked boys a lot, but singing was No. 1," recalled a former high school classmate.[21]
An avid actor in high school musicals, Gaga portrayed the lead roles of Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.[22] She also appeared in a very small role as a mischievous classmate in the television drama series The Sopranos in a 2001 episode titled "The Telltale Moozadell".[23] At 16, she began to sing and play in front of live audiences and unsuccessfully auditioned for parts in New York shows.[15] When her time at the Convent of the Sacred Heart came to an end, her mother encouraged her to apply to New York University to study drama and performance – specifically the Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21), which is a faculty of the Tisch School of the Arts.[15]
Aged 17, Gaga gained early admission and lived in a NYU dorm on 11th Street. There, she studied music and sharpened her songwriting skills by composing essays and analytical papers focusing on topics such as art, religion, social issues and politics.[13][24] Gaga wrote a thesis on pop artists Spencer Tunick and Damien Hirst; research that prepared her for her future career focus in "music, art, sex and celebrity."[25] Gaga felt that she was more creative than some of her classmates. "Once you learn how to think about art, you can teach yourself," she said. Being part of such a prestigious performance course, Gaga tried for and passed auditions while at CAP21,[15] including the part of an unsuspecting diner customer where MTV's Boiling Points, a prank reality television show, was being filmed.[26] However, by the second semester of her sophomore year, she withdrew from the school to focus on her musical career.[27] Her father agreed to pay her rent for a year, on the condition that she re-enroll at Tisch if she was unsuccessful. "I left my entire family, got the cheapest apartment I could find, and ate shit until somebody would listen," she said
2005–07: Career beginnings
Gaga (right) performing with Lady Starlight (left) at Lollapalooza 2007
Settled in a small apartment on Rivington Street towards the summer of 2005,[15] Gaga recorded a couple of songs with hip-hop singer Grandmaster Melle Mel, for an audio book accompanying the children's book The Portal in the Park, by Cricket Casey.[28] She also began a band called the Stefani Germanotta Band (SGBand) with some friends from NYU – guitarist Calvin Pia, bassist Eli Silverman and drummer Alex Beckham – in September of that year.[15] The band played a mixture of songs: some self-penned, along with classic rock numbers like Led Zeppelin's "D'yer Mak'er".[15] Playing in Lower East Side bars like The Bitter End and the Mercury Lounge, the band developed a small fan base and caught the eye of music producer Joe Vulpis.[15] Soon after arranging time in Vulpis' studio beneath a New Jersey liquor store in the months that followed, SGBand were selling their extended plays Words and Red and Blue at gigs around New York while becoming a local fixture of the downtown Lower East Side club scene.[22]
While at the peak of their career, SGBand performed at the 2006 Songwriters Hall of Fame New Songwriters Showcase at The Cutting Room in June where Wendy Starland, a singing model, appeared as a talent scout for music producer Rob Fusari who was searching for a female singer to front a new band. After Starland had informed Fusari of Gaga's ability, he contacted her. By this time, SGBand had grown apart and Gaga left to work with the music producer in New Jersey where she would travel daily to work on songs she had written and compose new material.[15] While in collaboration, Fusari compared some of her vocal harmonies to those of Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen.[29] It was Fusari who helped created the moniker Gaga after the Queen song "Radio Ga Ga". Gaga was in the process of trying to come up with a stage name when she received a text message from Fusari that read "Lady Gaga."[30] He explained, "Every day, when Stef came to the studio, instead of saying hello, I would start singing 'Radio Ga Ga'. That was her entrance song. [Lady Gaga] was actually a glitch; I typed 'Radio Ga Ga' in a text and it did an autocorrect so somehow 'Radio' got changed to 'Lady'. She texted me back, "That's it." After that day, she was Lady Gaga.[31] She's like, "Don't ever call me Stefani again."[30] The New York Post, however, has reported that this story is incorrect, and that the name resulted from a marketing meeting.[21]
Gaga performing at The Bazaar in Atlanta, Georgia, sporting one of her earlier looks (2008)
Although the musical relationship between Fusari and Gaga was unsuccessful at first, the pair soon set up a company titled Team Lovechild, in which they recorded and produced electro-beat pop tracks and sent them to music industry bosses.[15] Joshua Sarubin, the head of A&R at Def Jam Recordings, responded positively and vied for the record company to take a chance on her "unusual and provocative" performance. After having his boss Antonio "L.A." Reid in agreement, Gaga was signed to Def Jam in September 2006 with the intention of having an album ready in nine months.[15] However, she was dropped by the label after only three months.[32] Devastated, Gaga returned to the solace the family home for Christmas as well as the nightlife culture of the Lower East Side. Becoming fascinated with some of the emerging neo-burlesque shows, Gaga began Go-Go dancing in bars dressed in little more than bikini.[15] She began experimenting with drugs in addition to performing in many shows.[16] "I was onstage in a thong, with a fringe hanging over my ass thinking that had covered it, lighting hairsprays on fire, Go-Go dancing to Black Sabbath and singing songs about oral sex. The kids would scream and cheer and then we'd all go grab a beer. It represented freedom to me. I went to a Catholic school but it was on the New York underground that I found myself."[25]
Her father, however, did not understand the reason behind her drug intake and could not look at her for several months.[16][31] During this time, she met performance artist Lady Starlight, who helped mold her on-stage persona.[33] Starlight explained that, upon their first meeting, Gaga wanted to perform with her to songs she had recorded with Fusari. Like SGBand, the pair began playing gigs at many of the downtown club venues like the Mercury Lounge, The Bitter End, and the Rockwood Music Hall. Their live performance art piece was known as "Lady Gaga and the Starlight Revue"[34][35] and, billed as "The Ultimate Pop Burlesque Rockshow", was a low-fi tribute to 1970s variety acts.[36][37] Soon after, the two were invited to play at the 2007 Lollapalooza music festival in August that year.[38] The show was critically acclaimed, and their performance received positive reviews.[13][34] Having initially focused on avant-garde electronic dance music, Gaga had found her musical niche when she began to incorporate pop melodies and the glam rock of David Bowie and Queen into her music.[39]
While Gaga and Starlight were busy performing, producer Rob Fusari continued to work on the songs he had created with Gaga. Fusari sent these songs to his friend, producer and record executive Vincent Herbert.[40] Herbert was quick to sign her to his label Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records, upon its establishment in 2007.[41] She credited Herbert as the man who discovered her, adding "I really feel like we made pop history, and we're gonna keep going."[40] Having already served as an apprentice songwriter under an internship at Famous Music Publishing, which was later acquired by Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Gaga subsequently struck a music publishing deal with Sony/ATV.[42] As a result, she was hired to write songs for Britney Spears and labelmates New Kids on the Block, Fergie, and the Pussycat Dolls.[42] While Gaga was writing at Interscope, singer-songwriter Akon recognized her vocal abilities when she sang a reference vocal for one of his tracks in studio.[43] He then convinced Interscope-Geffen-A&M Chairman and CEO Jimmy Iovine to form a joint deal by having her also sign with his own label Kon Live Distribution[32] and later called her his "franchise player."[44] As 2007 came to a close, her former management company introduced her to songwriter and producer RedOne, whom they also managed.[45] The first song she produced with RedOne was "Boys Boys Boys",[45] a mash-up inspired by Mötley Crüe's "Girls, Girls, Girls" and AC/DC's "T.N.T.".[31] Gaga continued her collaboration with RedOne in the recording studio for a week on her debut album[42] and also joined the roster of Cherrytree Records, an Interscope imprint established by producer and songwriter Martin Kierszenbaum, after co-writing four songs with Kierszenbaum including the single "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)".
2008–10: The Fame and The Fame Monster
Gaga at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards
By 2008, Gaga had relocated to Los Angeles, where she worked extensively with her record label to complete her debut album The Fame (2008).[31] She combined different genres on the album, "from Def Leppard drums and hand claps to metal drums on urban tracks."[32] The Fame received positive reviews from contemporary critics; according to the music review aggregation of Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 71/100.[46] The album peaked at number one in United Kingdom, Canada, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland, and the top-five in Australia, the United States and fifteen other countries.[47][48] Worldwide, The Fame has sold over fourteen million copies.[49] Its lead single "Just Dance" topped the charts in six countries—Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States—and later received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Recording.[50]
The following single "Poker Face" was an even greater success, reaching number-one in almost all major music markets in the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States.[51] It won the award for Best Dance Recording at the 52nd Grammy Awards, over nominations for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. The Fame was nominated for Album of the Year; it won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album.[52] Although her first concert tour happened as an opening act for fellow Interscope pop group, the reformed New Kids on the Block,[53] she ultimately embarked on her own worldwide concert tour, The Fame Ball Tour, which was critically appreciated and began in March 2009; ending in September of that year.[54] The cover of the annual "Hot 100" issue of Rolling Stone in May 2009 featured a semi-nude Gaga wearing only strategically placed plastic bubbles.[29][55]
In the issue she said that while she was beginning her career in the New York club scene, she was romantically involved with a heavy metal drummer. She described their relationship and break-up, saying of it, "I was his Sandy, and he was my Danny [of Grease], and I just broke." He later became an inspiration behind some of the songs on The Fame.[55] She was nominated for a total of nine awards at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, winning the award for Best New Artist, while her single "Paparazzi" won two awards for Best Art Direction and Best Special Effects.[56] In October Gaga received Billboard magazine's Rising Star of 2009 award.[57] She attended the Human Rights Campaign's "National Dinner" the same month, before marching in the National Equality March for the equal protection of LGBT people in all matters governed by U.S. civil law in Washington, D.C.[2][58]
Gaga performing in 2010 at The Monster Ball Tour
Written over the course of 2008–09, The Fame Monster, a collection of eight songs, was released in November 2009. Each song, dealing with the darker side of fame from personal experience while she traveled the world, is expressed through a monster metaphor. Its first single "Bad Romance" topped the charts in eighteen countries, while reaching the top-two in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.[59][60] In the U.S., Gaga became the first artist in digital history to have three singles (along with "Just Dance" and "Poker Face") to pass the four million mark in digital sales.[61][62] The song won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance while its accompanying music video won the Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video.[63]
The album's second single "Telephone", which features singer Beyoncé, was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals and became Gaga's fourth UK number-one single[64] while its accompanying music video, although controversial, received a more positive reception from contemporary critics: praising her for "the musicality and showmanship of Michael Jackson and the powerful sexuality and provocative instincts of Madonna".[65] Her following single "Alejandro" paired Gaga with fashion photographer Steven Klein for a music video similarly as controversial—critics complimented its idea and dark nature,[66] but the Catholic League attacked Gaga for her alleged use of blasphemy.[67] Despite the controversy surrounding her music videos, they made Gaga the first artist to gain over one billion viral views on video-sharing website YouTube.[68]
Musically, The Fame Monster has also received abundant success. Equating to the amount of Grammy nominations her debut received, The Fame Monster garnered a total of six; the album won for Best Pop Vocal Album and earned her a second-consecutive nomination for Album of the Year.[69][70] The success of the album allowed Gaga to start her second worldwide concert tour, The Monster Ball Tour, just weeks after the release of The Fame Monster and months after having finished The Fame Ball Tour.[71] Upon finishing in May 2011, the critically acclaimed[72][73] and commercially accomplished[74] tour ran for over one and a half years and, according to Billboard, grossed 227.4 million dollars, making it one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time and the highest-grossing for a debut headlining artist.[75] Additionally, Gaga has performed other songs from the album at international events such as the 2009 Royal Variety Performance where she sang "Speechless", a power ballad, in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II;[76] the 52nd Grammy Awards where her opening performance consisted of the song "Poker Face" and a piano duet of "Speechless" in a medley of "Your Song" with Elton John;[77] and the 2010 BRIT Awards where a performance of an acoustic rendition of "Telephone" followed by "Dance in the Dark" dedicated to the late fashion designer and close friend, Alexander McQueen,[78] supplemented her hat-trick win at the awards ceremony.[79]
Excited about bringing back Polaroid and "combining it with the digital era", Gaga was named Chief Creative Officer for a line of imaging products for the international optic company in January 2010 with the intent of creating fashion, technology and photography products.[80] Her production team, Mermaid Music LLC, was sued in March by Rob Fusari; claiming that he was entitled to a 20% share of its earnings. Gaga's lawyer, Charles Ortner, described the agreement with Fusari as "unlawful" and declined to comment;[81] five months later, the New York Supreme Court dismissed both the lawsuit and a countersuit by Gaga.[82] In April, Gaga was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people of the year.[83] While giving an interview to The Times, Gaga hinted at having Systemic lupus erythematosus, commonly referred to as lupus, which is a connective tissue disease.[84] She later confirmed with Larry King that she does not have lupus but "the results were borderline positive".[85] With the television host, Gaga also revealed that she was among several artists who would have opened for Michael Jackson during his This Is It concert series at London's O2 Arena. "I was actually asked to open for Michael on his tour," she stated. "We were going to open for him at the O2 and we were working on making it happen." She added: "I believe there was some talk about us, lots of the openers, doing duets with Michael on stage."[86] In November 2010, one month after the singer reported assassination fears,[87] a restraining order was issued against Russian Anastasia Obukhova, who had threatened to shoot her in the head.
2011–present: Born This Way
Gaga promoting Born This Way by performing its songs on the Good Morning America "Summer Concert Series".
Gaga's second studio album and third major release Born This Way was released on May 23, 2011. She announced the title of the album during her acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.[89] Described as "a marriage of electronic music with major [...] metal or rock 'n' roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats" and referred to as an album "about what what keeps us up at night and what makes us afraid",[90] She stated, "It came so quickly. I've been working on [the album] for months, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now. Some artists take years. I don't. I write music every day."[91] Likening Born This Way to "bad kids going to church" that are "having fun on a high level",[92] Gaga characterized her new music as "something so much deeper than a wig or lipstick or a fucking meat dress" and upon hearing it, Akon remarked that she will take music to the "next level."[93] Its arrival followed the release of its eponymous lead single on February 11, 2011,[94] which was performed live for the first time at the 53rd Grammy Awards two days after its release. The song debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the 19th number-one debut and the 1,000th number-one single in the history of the charts.[95]
Two other singles, "Judas"[96] and "The Edge of Glory",[97][98][99] the former being criticized for its references to Biblical characters Judas, Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene,[100] were released before the album, both placing in the top ten of the major musical markets. Upon release, Born This Way sold 1.108 million copies in its first week in the United States, debuting atop the Billboard 200, and topping the charts in more than 10 other countries.[101] Lending her vocals elsewhere, Gaga paired with Elton John to record an original duet for the animated feature film Gnomeo & Juliet. The song, titled "Hello, Hello", was released on February 11, 2011, without Gaga's vocals. The duet version is only featured in the film.[102][103] She undertook her job as a fashion columnist for V, where she wrote about her creative process, her studying of the world of pop culture, and her ability to tune into the evolution of pop-culture meme.[104] In May 2011, Gaga told Australian radio show The Kyle & Jackie O Show that she would be coming to Sydney to perform a one-off concert in July 2011, to promote Born This Way, which occurred at Sydney Town Hall on Wednesday 13 July 2011.

ALEX LONG
Since he was young, he has always been impressed by the sounds of the synths, electro pop and later on acid house. In the beginning of the 90ies, when the slovenian electronic scene was still in the making, he has been a reagular guest in the legendary K4 and Palma. He was taken further into the world of dj-ing by Dj Jaka, who taught him his first steps behind the turntables and he has been producing music since 2004. Since then, he has has quite a few releases and remixes for different record labels and his music was included in Adam Beyer..s mix compilation.
He has dj gigs with huge names of the electronic scene and in large festivals in Slovenia and became the official Hero of the future in 2007 at the Disconautica festival. He was honored to be invited on his first slovenian 1605 tour THE YOUNG BLOOD OF THE TRIBE with Dj Umek.
He spends much of his time in his studio, where his thoughts are converted into notes and melodies, and as he often states, he finally found a style that suits him and always finds a challenge in. Alex Long is definately a name we will hear of in the future!

MARCOS BAIANO
Lorenzo was born on August 2nd 1986, in Salvador do Bahia (Brazil), where he got his nickname Marcos. At the age of 9, he started private lessons in piano and sax. A few years later he cuts his first EP. sticked to the minimal tech-house genre, on Net’s Work & Song. In 2008 he had 3 releases out on Area 94 influenced mostly by tech-house genre. Beyond his work as a producer, Marcos began DJing at clubs and festival like New Year Eve at Fortezza da Basso in Florence, where he shared the decks with DJs like Chris Liebing, Brian Snaji... “Abandoning” his techno past, he dedicated himself to the rhythms his brazilian roots, like funky, latin-soul and blues. Through the research of particular sounds he tries to com- municate emotions and feelings of his native country. New experiences, new ambients, new musical inputs and his own vast musical panorama led Marcos to find his own style: deep melodies, minimal groove, progressive textures, hou- se beats and funky vocals. The year 2010 was marked by a significant new partnership with the promising young Florentine factory Labella Recordings: a breeding ground of new talent to watch! With passion and conviction Labella produces Marcos Baiano “Musica & Felicidade 01”: 11 ex- plosive tracks also available in the special remix edition. A release which sees in the role of interpreters of the sound of Marcos, some national and international artists such as Su- pernova, Alessandro Sensini (Cecìlle), Enzo Elia (Hell Yeah!, Young Odds, Be As One), and many others. In addition to the album Labella released a limited edition vinyl which was sold out in many stores like Decks and Juno. This is a signi- ficative release for Marcos, the track “Moka Moka” climbed up to the 11th position the “Beatport House Chart” on July 2011; supported by top DJs as Javi Munoz and David Mo- reno airplayed on Ibiza Glabe Radio. The great success was followed by another charted track, “Green Lights” taken from the next Marco’s EP, “Musica & Felicade 2”, which ended up to the 17th place on Decembre 2010 Beatport House Chart. During January 2011 he moved to London to discover new musical horizons and collaborations.

LA ROUX (THE REMIXES)
La Roux are an English electropop duo formed in 2008 in London, United Kingdom. The band consists of Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988; singer and keyboardist) and Ben Langmaid (co-writer and co-producer). Their music is largely influenced by 80s pop music including Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Yazoo and Prince.
The name La Roux (pronounced lah-roo) is reported to be chosen when Elly found it in a book of baby names. La Roux comes from the mix of the French masculine word for “redhead” and the feminine article for “the”, referring to Jackson’s distinctive hairstyle.
In 2006 Jackson and Langmaid were introduced by a mutual friend. Their first project was named Automan and they wrote largely acoustic music.
In 15 December 2008, La Roux released their first single “Quicksand” on Kitsuné Music label, reaching just #129 on UK. This single was followed on 29 June 2009 by their debut album La Roux, on Polydor label. The album peaked at #2 on UK albums chart, #158 on US charts, and it sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.
La Roux’ second single “In For The Kill” was released on 16 March 2009. This single debuted at #11 on the UK singles chart and peaked at #2. The dubstep producer Skream made two remixes of this track: “In For The Kill (Skream’s Let’s Get Ravey remix)” and “In For The Kill (That Doesn’t Sound Like Skream’s Remix)”. Lifelike also made a remix entitled “In For The Kill (Lifelike Remix)”.
“Bulletproof” was released on 22 June 2009 and debuted at #1 on the UK singles chart and peaked at #8 on the US charts. This single was ranked #25 on Rolling Stone’s list of The 25 Best Songs of 2009. They issued “I’m Not Your Toy” as fourth single on 27 September 2009, reaching #27 on the UK singles chart.
La Roux gained fifth position on the BBC’s Sound of 2009 poll. The Guardian featured La Roux as one of the “Best New Acts of 2009” in the January of that year. The debut album has been nominated for a Mercury Prize. Also they have received 2010 BRIT Award nominations in the categories of British Breakthrough Act and British Single for “In for the Kill”.
They won the NME Award for Best Dancefloor Filler with “In For The Kill (Skream’s Let’s Get Ravey remix)”. They were also the only band to be featured 4 times on the NME 50 Best Tracks of 2009 list with “I’m Not Your Toy” placed at #41, “Bulletproof” at #24, “In For the Kill (Skream’s Let’s Get Ravey remix)” at #19 and “In For The Kill” at #8.
Currently La Roux are working on a second album.

JACK BEATS
The brainchild of Beni G (Mixologists) and Plus One (Scratch Perverts), a production duo from London, UK who are not only veterans of the music scene but also multiple DJ champions, and award winning DJs. Jack Beats represents everything you love about the new wave of British house music. Wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapella’s are cut, copied and pasted together to create a floor-filling brand of house that’s bound to rock the foundations of any club to its very core.
Citing influences as diverse as Timbaland, Rage Against the Machine, A Guy Called Gerald and Sebastian, the two began to hone a style fusing House, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass and Dubstep with Electro and Baltimore Club, and what emerged was a cutting edge sound. It blurred the lines between all these genres, as well as taking influence from old school hip hop, garage and rave, to current grime, bassline/figit house and dubstep. In essence they carved their sound as futuristic, hybrid, bass music for clubs without boundaries.
The British duo demanded immediate attention after their gob-smacking take on Boy 8-Bit’s anthem Fogbank dropped in early 2008. What followed were bass-heavy collaborations with Deekline and Wizard, refixes of Trip’s guitar-driven Who’s That?, the now classic AC Slater remix and the unforgettable transformation of Epic Last Song by Does It Offend You, Yeah? into a classic pop-dance tune. So much so, they quickly are becoming the in demand remixers of the moment, with everything they rework getting turned into a dancefloor hit.
